Works has Begun to Improve the Management System of Pre-school Education Institutions

Innovation, Inclusion and Quality Project provides improvement of the quality of ECE programs in Georgia. To achieve this, the project will conduct a diagnostic study of the ECE sector, including professional development system of ECE professionals, ECE quality monitoring system, utilization and coordination mechanisms for ECE sector, school-based preschool services and other relevant directions, to generate a comprehensive picture on the demand and supply related challenges to design project envisaged quality interventions.

International short-term consultant Mrs. Trina Arsenault was selected through an international tender. Mrs. Trina will design the terms of reference for the development of Terms of Reference on Improving ECE Institution Management System and Enhancing the Quality of Programs Across the Country. On June 30, Mrs. Tamar Sanikidze – Executive Director of the I2Q Project and ECE Component Lead – Tamar Tchkonia held an online meeting with Mrs. Trina Arsenault.

The sides discussed the following topics: preparation of Draft ToR, Company selection and evaluation criteria already practiced by the WB, Importance of ECE early start level, education of 2-5-year-old-students for effective development of SRP Groups; Dates and steps for the development of SRP Groups; Integration of ECE and Preschool Education Data gathering and analyze in the EMIS; Integrating Parent education in Development of in-service teacher training modules in alignment with professional standards and on modern child-centered pedagogical approaches considering gender, diversity, inclusive education, ECE subject-matter knowledge and group management.
