SDSU Expert to Visit Georgia in April

Essential interventions are made in the early and preschool education sector under the I2Q Project. The San Diego State University Research Foundation experts soon finish the second stage of work within the scope of the contract.

The second stage report includes ECE data collecting, sector remuneration, caregiver pedagogues professional development, QA standards, propositions of stakeholders legislative elements analysis, available resources, the deep analysis of the last reform impacts, and ECE diagnostic research recommendations, and the designs based on them.

Tamar Tchkonia, the I2Q Project ECE component lead, monitors the current works regularly. On 17 February 2023, another online meeting was held to exchange information. SDSURF experts and the ECE component lead discussed the content of the report and its submission dates. The participants also discussed the ECE regulation documents in English versions. SDSU provided the translation. The English version will support the analysis of the legislative elements.

Dr. Teresa Lind – quality assurance and data reporting specialist, and Tamar Tchkonia discussed in detail the data reporting system functional and its connection with the EMIS capacity building plans.

For stakeholders’ request analysis and the fulfillment of the second stage report, SDSURF experts will visit Georgia, and the second stage report will be submitted by the end of April 2023.
