STEAM Extracurricular Programs to be Developed
On February 21, 2023, international expert Jeffrey A. Nowak, Ph.D. (innovative programs) held a working meeting with the head of the I2Q Project general education component Khatia Tsiramua. Jack Novak works on extracurricular activities for secondary schools within the framework of cooperation with the I2Q Project. The activities aim to strengthen the teaching of STEAM subjects in schools.
Jack Novak presents programs based on international best practices. The program will go through a pilot in 200 selected schools. While offering the programs to schools, ages, grades, and student’s interests will be taken into consideration.
An international expert will study the profile of all 200 pilot schools and their experiences, resources, activities, and projects related to STEAM subjects. Based on the study, he will select a specific program to offer the concrete school.
The international expert will develop relevant recommendations and an action plan considering the results of the pilot. His suggestions will introduce ways to implement extracurricular activities in schools throughout Georgia.
