San Diego State University Research Foundation Another Working Visit to Georgia

Within the scope of the I2Q project, San Diego State University Research Foundation experts are working to improve the management system of early and preschool education institutions across the country and to improve the quality of programs. 

SDSURF experts working visit to Georgia started on November 12, 2023. The main aim of the visit was the first annual conference, held on November 14 in Tbilisi Marriott. At the first annual conference, the international and local experts of SDSURF discussed with the stakeholders the results achieved. They announced the next steps within the scope of the complex works carried out in the early education sector.

Within the framework of the visit to Georgia, the experts held meetings with various stakeholders and representatives of the institutions involved in the activities.

SDSURF international and local experts discussed the development and expected piloting of the ECE data reporting system. The representatives of the EMIS and the Early and Preschool Education Department of the MES experts reviewed the quality assurance framework. They also discussed the issues of training and retraining of quality assurance experts planned for February 2024. 

Within the scope of the San Diego State University Research Foundation experts’ visit, workshops were held on the professional development of caregivers and caregiver-pedagogues issues and, tracing that, the development of an increasing merit-based salary policy to maintain qualified staff and promote their continuous growth.

The San Diego State University Research Foundation continues to work on complex activities and periodically visits Georgia for information exchange and coordinated work.
