Training Cycle for Professional Development of the Kindergarten Administrative and Educational Staff Started in Gori Municipality

With the support of the World Bank, under the I2Q Project, SDSURF continues active work in the early childhood and preschool education field. Within the scope of the cooperation between the I2Q Project and SDSURF, the training cycle for professional development of the Gori Municipality kindergarten administrative and educational staff started on March 11, 2024.

The training cycle that will last until the beginning of April 2024 aims at the professional development of the representatives from the education department of the Education, Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs Service of the primary structural unit of the Gori Municipality City Hall, representatives of the preschool education agency of Gori Municipality and managers of 15 kindergartens across the municipality.

Training cycle in early childhood and preschool education is being conducted by the leading experts of the field. The training modules are developed by the SDSURF international and local experts, and they cover theoretical and practical approaches. The training cycle is divided into three stages: it includes the professional re-qualification of the administrative personnel, training of educational staff, and supporting the implementation of the knowledge gained at the training through coaching sessions directly in the target 15 kindergartens of Gori Municipality. During the coaching sessions, the trainers will mentor the caregivers in the educational and developmental process on site.

The knowledge gained at the training will support kindergarten managers, caregivers, and administrative staff to encourage educational processes and the implementation of child-oriented approaches.

The trainings are scheduled in five pilot municipalities (Zugdidi, Vani, Lanchkhuti, Dedoplistkaro, Akhalkalaki).
