IBF International Presented the Achievements in General Education Development at the Bi-annual Conference

With the financial support of the World Bank, within the scope of the I2Q Project, the consulting company IBF International presented the achievement of complex activities carried out in the direction of general education. The bi-annual project review seminar was held on April 10, 2024, at the Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel. Nodar Papukashvili, Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, welcomed the seminar participants. He noted that the Innovation, Inclusion and Quality Project implements crucial interventions in the direction of general education and contributes significantly to the education reform agenda.

The World Bank Senior Education Economist Shiro Nakata addressed the participants of the seminar and highlighted the successful activities of the I2Q project.

The General Education Component of Innovation, Inclusion and Quality Project, in cooperation with IBF International, supported the successful launch of the authorization process of the public schools. Activities supported by the I2Q Project comprise a lot of interventions – the strengthening of the expert corps, the piloting of authorization in pre-selected schools, the creation of supporting resources, etc. The acquired experience is valuable for other schools as well. Assignments are actively continued in the direction of the whole school improvement, supporting the professional development of the capacities of teachers and school administration, updating the national evaluation system, and improving the quality of STEAM education.

The general education component of the I2Q project is focused on improving the quality of teaching and learning in general education. The ongoing work within it includes: improving the educational infrastructure in the target schools, supporting the implementation/expansion of programs focused on strengthening the capacities of the whole school, supporting the development of the capacities of teachers and school administration, and promoting the development of the national evaluation system. In this direction, the international consortium works within the framework of the IBF International agreement – Promoting the improvement of the quality of teaching and learning in general education.
