The Mechatronics Laboratory Created within the CIF Funded Project in BSSU

Nodar Papukashvili, the Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia and Tamar Sanikidze, Executive Director of the Innovation, Inclusion and Quality Project, visited the Mechatronics Laboratory at the Batumi State Maritime Academy.

The Mechatronics Laboratory in BSMA was created under the project – “Implementation of mechatronic systems teaching at the bachelor’s, master’s, and vocational levels in the Batumi State Maritime Academy’s educational programs. This project was funded through the grant competition of the Competitive Innovation Fund (CIF) within the I2Q project.

The primary objective of the project is to incorporate the teaching of mechatronic systems at various levels of education, enabling students to develop skills necessary for servicing mechatronic systems, selecting required resources and methods for repairs, and executing an optimal work plan.

The project aims to enhance the quality and international competitiveness of higher education in the maritime field.

The purpose of CIF is to develop specific directions of higher educational institutions, modernize academic programs and learning environments, and strengthen connections with the labor market.
