InTech4Med – Scientific Research and Educational Activities for Students Interested in Research

Innovation and Technology for Medicine (InTech4Med) is one of the winning projects of the first grant competition of the Competitive Innovation Fund of the I2Q project (WB). The project is implemented by Ilia State University and Petre Shotadze Tbilisi Medical Academy. InTech4Med is a combination of scientific research and educational activities in medicine. The project aims to develop research components and integrate problem-based and project-based teaching methods into the medical curriculum.

On August 5, 2024, within the framework of the InTech4Med project, the training “Medicine and Innovation” was held, which was related to the issues of project application, scientific paper preparation and technology transfer, academic integrity and freedom, protection of intellectual property, and the use of information technologies in the research process. It was designed for students and young scientists interested in health research. Representatives of the I2Q project attended the meeting.

The inTech4Med project is meaningful for establishing a research alliance and sectoral cluster in Georgia. It contributes to the development of higher education programs, the implementation of student research, the enhancement of scientific research practical skills and the digitization of educational research activities. Furthermore, the project conducted an open competition to promote student research focused on healthcare challenges, with active students from consortium member institutions participating.
