SDSU experts have an introductory meeting with the director of the National Center for Education Quality Enhancement

The director of the National Center for Education Quality Development, Mr. Aleksandre Tsuladze, recently met with San Diego State University professors Douglas Fisher and James Marshall during their visit to Georgia. The purpose of the meeting was to introduce the director to the current activities and plans of the I2Q Project, which aims to improve the management system of early and preschool education institutions and enhance the quality of education programs.

During the meeting, the international experts from San Diego, along with the executive director of the I2Q Project and the head of the Early Education Component, discussed initiatives to promote the quality and access to early childhood education in Georgia. The NCEQE director expressed full support for the I2Q project team and committed to assisting the international experts in implementing their initiatives.

With the support of the World Bank, San Diego State University is working on various aspects of early childhood education in Georgia, including implementing a quality assurance system, establishing a salary policy for educators, creating a professional development framework, developing data reporting systems, and advancing evidence-based decision-making processes, early education and school readiness programs development, etc.
