SDSU Experts Visit to Georgia Started

Professor Douglas Fisher and Professor James Marshall from San Diego State University are visiting Georgia to discuss the activities and challenges of the Early Childhood Education component of the I2Q project. This is in the context of the contract for Improving Early Childhood Education (ECE) Institution Management System and Enhancing the Quality of Programs Across the Country.

September 10, 2024, the international experts met with the I2Q Project executive director and the ECE component lead to talk about completed work and current assignments.

The SDSU experts are actively working on the following four areas: 1. Development of a quality assurance framework 2. Development of ECE Data Reporting 3. Developing Salary Scale – an updated salary policy for ECE education 4. Development and implementation of a teacher training and school readiness program (SRP)

The international experts have scheduled meetings with all stakeholders involved in the activities from September 10-12, 2024.
