A Three-day Seminar was conducted for School Principals, focusing on Leadership and School Improvement

The General Education Component of the I2Q Project aims to enhance the quality of general education and strengthen educational institutions. This is achieved by improving management practices, fostering a positive and safe school environment, and raising the overall quality of teaching and learning. The project’s key objectives are supported through expert assistance and collaboration with IBF Expertise S.A.

One of the essential activities undertaken to improve schools is the training of pilot school principals, which was facilitated by international experts from IBF Expertise S.A., Newman Burdett and Ligita Grigule. A total of 46 school principals participated in the series of seminars they conducted.

These seminars aimed to share experiences from schools involved in the first stage of the school improvement pilot within the I2Q Project with other schools. The participating principals presented practical examples and discussed how the initiatives under the general education component of the I2Q project contributed to the improvement of teaching and learning and professional development of teachers at their respective schools.

International experts addressed important topics with the principals during the seminars, including delegated leadership, reflecting on current classroom practices, and developing both short-term and long-term strategies for improvement. They also discussed creating effective learning improvement plans, establishing a shared vision of success, making informed decisions for school enhancement, and understanding bilingual differentiated instruction strategies.

The knowledge gained from the seminars will enable the principals to utilize the tools and modules provided by the I2Q project to assist other pilot schools in planning their improvements. They conduct workshops since April 2025 in schools selected by the I2Q project to share their experiences, with ongoing expert support from international specialists in organizing these meetings.
