A Summary Meeting of the STEM-UPD Project held in TESAU
A summary meeting was held at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University on May 3, 2025 within the framework of the project – “STEM Concept for University Educational Programs Development (STEM-UPD)“. This innovative project aims to raise STEM awareness among current and future teachers. The program is designed to strengthen the STEM direction in universities and schools while training teachers to meet modern educational requirements.
The meeting was attended by students from the Faculty of Educational Sciences at Telavi State University, representatives from over 20 schools in the Kakheti region, and other stakeholders. Attendees reviewed the project’s progress and the training cycle conducted for teachers.
The Rector of Telavi State University discussed the challenges and prospects of implementing the STEM approach in formal education. He emphasized the importance of close cooperation between the university and schools, highlighting the activities planned within the project to facilitate this collaboration.

The project is funded by the I2Q Project Competitive Innovation Fund (CIF) and implemented by a consortium of Akaki Tsereteli State University (ATSU), STEMIT LLC, and the Copernicus Science Center, together with TESAU.
