STEAM Innovative Workspace Successfully Operating at Borjomi Public School N6
The STEAM innovative workspace at Borjomi Public School N6 recently welcomed international expert Professor Jeffrey Nowak. This space is outfitted with educational resources, equipment, and furniture essential for implementing the STEAM extracurricular program. Students are actively involved in the preparation of STEAM projects, including juniors.
“They spend most of their free time in this innovative space. They come here joyfully on weekends, make friends, and collaborate on projects”, – said school principal Lela Lapachi.
The head of the Borjomi Educational Resource Center discussed the significant importance of the STEAM innovative workspace for schools in the region. There are plans to invite students from other schools to share their experiences and engage in various activities together.
During his visit, Professor Novak explored the workspace, interacted with the students, and learned about their needs. He encouraged the students, saying, “This is just the beginning. There are many exciting opportunities ahead of you. Consider what changes you want to see in your city or how you might improve your environment. Through your innovative projects, you can contribute to the development of the regional economy, foster beneficial relationships with entrepreneurs, and enhance your entrepreneurial skills alongside technological knowledge.”
The school was equipped with the resources, equipment, and furniture necessary for the implementation of the STEAM extracurricular program with the support of the World Bank, within the scope of the “Innovation, Inclusion, and Quality” Project – Georgia.
