STEAM Innovative Space Opened at Tsalenjikha Public School N2
The General Education Component lead of the I2Q project has opened a STEAM innovation space at Tsalenjikha Public School N2. The school was equipped with the necessary educational tools in December 2024, and this time has proven sufficient for students passionate about STEAM to prepare engaging and creative projects.
“This space has become a favorite gathering place for students of all levels,” noted the school principal. “Our students come together here to actively participate in extracurricular activities, sharing ideas and experiences while creating interesting projects.”
“We really enjoy being here; learning science subjects is fun, and many concepts have become much easier to understand,” the students shared.
The space is supervised by teachers trained through the I2Q Project. “Students love coming here; they assemble and disassemble robots, operate various devices, and print interesting components on a 3D printer, which they then use in their projects,” the teachers commented.
The event was attended by the head of the regional educational resource center and principals from other schools. Tsalenjikha Public School N2 is set to become a hub for nearby schools, offering all interested students the opportunity to engage in extracurricular activities and collaborate on joint projects.
The school has been equipped with the necessary resources, equipment, and furniture to implement the STEAM extracurricular program with the support of the World Bank, as part of the Innovation, Inclusion, and Quality – Georgia (I2Q) project. Similar spaces will be established in 13 schools across different regions of Georgia.
