Online Meetings held with LEPL Heads within the scope of The World Bank Implementation Support Mission for I2Q Project
On February 17, within the scope of The World Bank Implementation Support Mission for I2Q Project online meetings were held with the heads of LEPLs of MoESCS. Participants discussed the collaboration with I2Q Project.
Sopho Gorgodze, head of NAEC, Lasha Margishvili and Kakhaber Eradze, deputy heads of NCEQE, Berika Shukakidze and Manana Ratiani from TPDC and Dimitri Beridze, head of EMIS attended the meetings.
Participants discussed current activities. Head of NAEC talked about revision of national assessment system for general education level that will assist in identifying different factors affecting students learning outcomes and allowing for evidence-based policy decision making.
NCEQE representatives discussed the issues regarding general education quality enhancement system and requirement of revision and change GE authorization standards, that will give rise to prepare new guidelines according new standards, capacity building of experts, preparing schools for authorization and etc. I2Q Project will support NCEQE with involving foreign consultants in the process for capacity building.
Cooperating with NCEQE is very essential in planned activities of the I2Q Project, including developing new model of financing of HE, enhancing the quality of educational programs and improving international competitiveness.
Berika Shukakidze and Manana Ratiani from TPCD discussed current activities the TPCD. They talked about possibilities for professional development of teaches and supporting them with relevant resources.
Head of EMIS talked about diagnostic assessment of the EMIS to identify further development and upgrades of the system.
