Work has Begun on Improving Higher Education Funding Mechanisms
Within the scope of the third Component (Strengthening Financing Options and Promoting Internationalization in Higher Education), the IIQ Project will provide support for improving funding mechanisms for higher education. The objective of the assignment is to analyze the information on financing of higher education in Georgia, identify strengths and weaknesses of current higher education system and developing new options for higher education financing, including performance-based options to support the Government’s strategic objectives.
To implement this assignment, the company was selected through an international tender. IBF International Consulting (Belgium), a multisector consulting company, has 40 years of relevant experience in implementing development cooperation projects, including higher education sector. IBF also has experience in developing policy documents in the education sector of Georgia and within the project, is represented by highly qualified experts.
Starting from April 12, 2021, IBF will liaise with all relevant stakeholders to develop new options for higher education financing, particularly performance-based funding mechanisms.
