The Steering Group held the First Meeting

Within the framework of the I2Q project, a Steering Group was created. The Group shall support the implementation of activities provided by the general education component.
The Steering Group shall support the effective implementation of the planned activities and coordinate work between the international consortium implementing the agreement and the structural units of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. The Agreement – Fostering Quality Teaching and Learning in General Education through Introduction of Effective Quality Management System, Whole School Improvement Plan and Programs, Improved Assessment Policy, a Practice, and Methodology – is signed within the scope of the I2Q Project.

The Steering Group consists of representatives of the I2Q MPU and the structural units of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. In particular, the members are the representatives of the Preschool and General Education Department (MES), NCEQE, TPDC, NAEC, and EMIS.

The first working meeting of the Steering Group was held on September 7, 2022, in the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. Khatia Tsriamua, the group leader (GE Component lead, I2Q Project), introduced the tasks and expected results of the abovementioned agreement. The parties also discussed the Steering Group authority issues and the work to be performed at the meeting. The parties confirmed the next steps.
