The working Meetings with International Experts in GE Component Continue
The consortium, under IBF International leadership, actively continues working on improving the quality of general education within the framework of the I2Q project. Along with strengthening the whole school and developing the assessment system, the consulting company is also working on the development and enhancing GE quality assurance mechanisms. To this end, to introduce updated quality assurance mechanisms for general education and to support the professional development and capacity building of quality assurance experts, IBF International has started a training cycle on December 5, 2022.
On February 13, IBF International experts held a meeting with the National Center for Education Quality Development representatives. The session aimed to discuss the implemented and planned activities for developing the general education quality assurance system. Kakhaber Eradze – NCEQE Deputy Director, the general education quality assurance department representatives, Ron Titus – quality management international expert, Ligita Grigule – school management and development expert, and Newman Burdett and Sara Sharat – assessment experts and Khatia Tsiramua – I2Q Project GE component lead attended the meeting.
The participants discussed the capacity building of the stakeholders involved in the authorization processes. Up to 150 experts will be trained in planned activities in n 2023. Also, the arrangement of orientation meetings of the General Education Institution Authorization Council and piloting of the authorization process are scheduled in target schools of the I2Q Project. Along with the capacity building of the stakeholders involved in the quality assurance process, international experts will work on the development of internal quality assurance system. In this regard, it is scheduled to review and update current mechanisms, as well as actions for school officials’ capacity building.
The consortium under the leadership of IBF International implements the activities envisaged within the scope of the I2Q Project. Under the contract, the consortium conducted the first stage of experts’ capacity building in December 2022. 150 quality assurance experts were involved in the process.
