A meeting Held to Evaluate the Progress of Activities in General Education

IBF International’s international experts Jeff Novak (innovative programs expert) and Jack Knollbrook (student assessment leading specialist) held presentations with I2Q Project PMU for progress evaluation on activities aimed at improving the quality of general education.

Expert Jeff Novak discussed the development of extracurricular programs for STEAM extracurricular learning. He presented his vision, also international best practices successfully implemented in the US and other countries. Considering the age of the students and the learning outcomes, the best practices will be divided according to the general education levels. Subject experts of the national curriculum also attended the meeting for agreed cooperation and coordinated work.

Jeff Novak also presented an e-platform for cooperation. All 200 schools will own their profiles and access to programs, guidelines, and other essential resources on the platform and be involved in the activities. By using the e-platform for cooperation, schools will be able to receive and exchange information. While implementing the programs, they will monitor the progress and results.

Jack Knollbrook’s presentation regarded further advancement and development of the school’s formative assessment system. The expert spoke about the main elements of the formative evaluation approach already existing in the general education system. The expert presented initial recommendations for improving the evaluation system. As a result of the intervention, the methodology for the formative assessment of students will be enhanced. Particular attention will be given to the evaluation system of students with special educational needs.
