SDSURF Experts Visited I2Q Project Office
Experts from San Diego State University visited Georgia on another visit. Within the scope of the I2Q Project contract, international experts in the ECE sector work in four directions: 1. Development of a quality assurance framework; 2. Development of ECE Data Reporting; 3. developing Salary Scale – an updated salary policy for ECE education; 4. Development and implementation of teacher training and school readiness program (SRP).
On April 4, 2023, International experts visited I2Q Office. At the meeting, the sides discussed current tasks and challenges. They also discussed the scheduled sessions and work.
The contract with SDSURF experts envisages:
– Development of Quality Assurance Framework (QAF) for ECE institutions, defining appropriate mechanisms and ECE quality monitoring instruments at the national level, and considering the results of already achieved progress and requirements of Georgian legislation.
– Development of systematic ECE and preschool data incorporated in EMIS.
– Development of ECE teachers’ Professional Development and merit-based pay system.
– Development of in-service teacher training modules in alignment with professional standards and modern child-centered pedagogical approaches, revision of the existing SRP, and introduction of revised modern and child-centered SRPs.
