IBF International Works on Students’ Formative Continuous Assessment

Within the scope of the I2Q Project, consultant company IBF International is conducting activities for improving the whole school and developing students’ formative continuous assessment among them.

International Experts Norman Emerson and Neuman Burdett (educational assessment experts) work on reviewing and improving the assessment system, practice, and methodology in the schools of Georgia. The experts already presented initial recommendations for the assessment system improvement. They also developed the training module on formative assessment. Within the scope of the works, the consultant company ensures the capacity building of the teachers. With this purpose, on June 19-21, 2023, IBF International experts carried out training for teachers as trainers of trainers on formative continuous assessment issues.

After the interventions, significant improvement in the formative continuous assessment methodology is expected. Experts will give close and thoughtful attention to the assessment system for students with special educational needs. Several schools have been selected in advance to pilot improved assessment tools.
