The “Education for Better Employment: A Partnership in Innovative Healthcare” Project, funded by the first CIF Grant Competition, is making Successful Progress
The “Education for Better Employment: A Partnership in Innovative Healthcare” is a collaborative project between Ilia State University and BAU International University Batumi. The project has received a grant from the first Competitive Innovation Fund of the I2Q Project.
The main goal of the project is to enhance higher education related to healthcare by creating modern educational programs and sustainable partnerships that are in line with the needs of the job market. To achieve this, the Iliauni and BAU consortium conducted a study to identify the specific requirements of the healthcare labour market.
The results of the research were presented on September 20, 2024, at Ilia State University during a workshop titled “Labor Market Needs in the Field of Healthcare: Challenges and Prospects.” During the meeting, various stakeholders discussed the survey results, focusing on staffing needs, priority skills, employment prospects, and ways to enhance cooperation among stakeholders. Representatives from the World Bank, I2Q Project, health policymakers, medical service providers, educational institutions, students/graduates, and other stakeholders took part in the workshop.
The “Education for Better Employment: Partnership in Innovative Healthcare” project aims to create a comprehensive approach for effective collaboration among educational institutions, employers, and students. As part of this project, Ilia State University and BAU International University, along with foreign experts, will develop training courses based on modern teaching methods. The development of short-term training courses is also being considered within the scope of the project.
