A STEAM Innovative Workspace Opens at Kvareli Public School N2

An innovative STEAM workspace has opened at Kvareli Public School N2, equipped with the necessary educational resources to implement the STEAM extracurricular program. This new space has quickly become a favorite gathering place for students, who work in teams on various projects using a range of educational kits—including programming, robotics, STEAM, educational science, wind energy, and green technology kits. The workspace also features a 3D printer, a drone, and various computer equipment, enabling students to create and manage smart devices while engaging in STEAM-related activities.

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives from the I2Q project, regional school principals, the head of the educational resource center, local government representatives, and Professor Jeffrey Nowak, an international expert from IBF Expertise SA. During the event, Nowak congratulated the students on the opening of the new space, highlighting the extraordinary opportunities it provides for innovative projects. He stated, “Your space is equipped with an excellent video conferencing system, which will serve as a STEAM hub for schools in the region. Think big and create products that will make the world a better place.” Moreover, Mr. Nowak informed the students about national conference – Future Georgia for STEAM projects, where they will have the chance to present their work to the public.

During the ceremony, students from Kvareli Public School N2 showcased their projects and demonstrated how they utilize the educational resources available to them.

The school was equipped with the resources, equipment, and furniture necessary for the implementation of the STEAM extracurricular program with the support of the World Bank, within the scope of the “Innovation, Inclusion, and Quality” Project – Georgia.
