A Modern Learning Management System is being introduced in Georgia’s General Education System

Within the framework of the I2Q project, supported by the World Bank, the implementation of a modern learning management and administration platform (LMS) is underway in Georgia’s general education system. This initiative aims to promote the digital transformation of education, increasing transparency and efficiency in educational processes.

The winning consortium, CoreFour/Orient Logic, is currently integrating the EDSBY platform into the Georgian education system. EDSBY is a fully integrated platform designed to manage the entire learning cycle electronically, ensuring the effective involvement of all participants in school life, including principals, teachers, students, parents, and representatives from the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth (MESY), within a unified system.

On May 30 2025, the consortium held a workshop attended by representatives from the MESY, heads of educational resource centers, school principals, teachers, education policy experts, and other stakeholders. During the meeting, Edsby officials – Project Director John Myers and Curriculum Expert Sarah Hwang – provided in-depth presentations on the platform’s main functionalities, integration processes, and localization capabilities.

Participants received comprehensive information on how the new system will effectively implement the national curriculum, manage assessments with modern approaches, share learning resources digitally, improve communication with parents, and support data-driven decision-making.

The pilot implementation of the LMS is scheduled to begin in September 2025. This initiative represents a major advancement in modernizing Georgia’s general education system and establishes the groundwork for an innovative, inclusive, and data-driven educational environment.
