I2Q Project Support in Early Education: Challenges in Lanchkhuti and JICA Resources for Kindergartens
The Early Childhood and Preschool Education Component Lead of the I2Q Project, along with a representative from San Diego State University, held a meeting with the Acting Director and Chief Methodist of the Lanchkhuti Municipality Preschool Education and Care Center. During this meeting, they reviewed the existing challenges and needs and discussed the ongoing mentoring process in 15 kindergartens within the Lanchkhuti Municipality. This mentoring initiative is being led by an expert from San Diego State University in collaboration with a local trainer.
Additionally, the I2Q Project’s Early Childhood and Preschool Education Component Lead, in partnership with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), donated sets of children’s reading literature and educational toys. These items, purchased by JICA with the support of the Preschool Education Department of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth, aim to enhance the piloting of kindergartens and school readiness groups.
The educational toy sets, books, and children’s science equipment will help develop children’s exploration and discovery skills. The toys are designed to spark interest in basic mathematical concepts and vocabulary enrichment.
Within the framework of the I2Q project and JICA cooperation, have already been distributed to school readiness groups across various municipalities.
