The Next Qualifying Round of the Mational STEAM Project Competition held in Kutaisi

The next qualifying round of the national STEAM project competition took place in Kutaisi on November 19-20, 2025 During this two-day event, pilot schools from the Imereti, Lechkhumi, and Kvemo Svaneti regions showcased innovative projects developed as part of the STEAM extracurricular program.

The competition was attended by the I2Q Project General Education Lead and international STEAM expert, Professor Jeffrey Nowak, who highlighted the achievements of Georgian students. He stated, “I have attended competitions in many countries, but I can confidently say that Georgian children have exceeded expectations. You are very talented, and you should use this talent to solve the problems around you.”

After the presentations, the international expert, along with the I2Q Project General Education Component Lead awarded certificates to the participating schools.

The best projects identified during the competition will be presented in Tbilisi at the end of November during the final STEAM conference of the “Future Georgia” national competition.

This initiative is being implemented with the support of the World Bank as part of the Innovation, Inclusion and Quality Project – Georgia I2Q. The consulting work under the general education component of the I2Q Project is conducted by the international consortium IBF Expertise S.A. During the 2024-2025 academic year, the schools receive support and guidance from Professor Jeffrey Nowak, an international expert from IBF Expertise S.A.
