“Future Georgia 2025”: Online Conference for STEAM Projects was Held

On February 20, 2026 an online conference was held as part of the National STEAM Competition — “Future Georgia 2025.” Students from 12 pilot schools, who joined the STEAM extracurricular activities at a relatively later stage, presented their competition projects.

During the presentations, students showcased their innovative visions for the future and the practical skills acquired throughout the project. They clearly demonstrated their creative journey, from the initial idea generation to the final, completed product.

The online conference was attended by the General Education Component Lead of the I2Q Project, along with international expert Professor Jeffrey Nowak. Professor Nowak provided detailed feedback to each participating team, offering an additional opportunity for the schools’ further development. All participating schools will be awarded certificates.

The goal of the competition was not only to increase student interest in STEAM subjects but also to present the results of the STEAM extracurricular program implemented in I2Q pilot schools and to share best practices.

This activity was conducted with the support of the World Bank, under the project Innovation, Inclusion and Quality (I2Q). Throughout the 2024-2025 academic year, schools received support and consultation from Professor Jeffrey Nowak, an expert from the international consortium IBF Expertise S.A.
