The overall goal of the project is to strengthen the development of English-language educational programs, as well as the internationalization of performance and higher music education through digital transformation. The project proposal includes two components: 1) Organizing the international accreditation process of english language programs; 2) introduction of Eduroam networking and Implementation of audio/video transmission system LOLA (low latency audio-visual streaming technology).

Within the framework of the first component, MusiQuE, an agency affiliated with the Association of European Conservatories, carries out international accreditation for the following six English-language educational programs of the conservatory:

Activities

Based on the agreement signed with MusiQuE, the international accreditation process is underway (submission of self-assessment, creation of a group of experts, visit of the group, preparation of draft and conclusion, decision-making). Based on the decision on international accreditation, a conclusion will be submitted to the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement  (NCEQE) in order to recognize the accreditation.

In order to implement the software LOLA and Eduroam, an agreement was signed with The Georgian Research and Educational Networking Association „GRENA“, which provides the conservatory with fiber-optic Internet. Also, the connection to the Eduroam network and the purchase of the necessary technical equipment for the integration of the computer security system LOLA are underway.

In the frame of the implementation of the mentioned software, the Sibelius Academy, Helsinki University of Arts will train TSC staff.

  • Programs accredited by MusiQuE will help attract students from European countries, which in turn will strengthen the sustainability of the institution, including the development of educational tourism in Georgia;
  • Implementation of LOLA will contribute to increasing the possibility of diverse collaborative projects between staff and students of Georgian and international higher music education institutions and, as a basis, strengthening of internationalisation;
  • Implementation of LOLA will contribute to the sustainability of educational and creative activities in force majeure situations (pandemic, hostilities, etc.);
  • Implementation of LOLA will contribute to strengthening the financial sustainability of TSC by offering a relevant service to the community and music industry.
