The Training Cycle on the Whole School Improvement Piloting
International consortia, with the leadership of IBF International, conducted the preliminary work for the whole school improvement piloting. With this purpose, the consortia experts conducted training for 50 representatives of 15 schools on October 20-22, 2023, in Sheraton Grand Tbilisi Metechi Palace. The topics of the training were data collecting and data analyses.
School leaders and teachers participating in the training learned what data the school should collect, how to process it, and how to use analysis-based decisions to improve the learning process.
The meetings led by IBF International experts were fascinating and interactive. Georgian experts, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, the Education Management Information System, and the National Center for Evaluation and Examinations were involved in the process.
The information and knowledge gained from the training will empower teachers to successfully pilot the whole school improvement mechanisms. Within the scope of the I2Q project, further meetings with international experts are scheduled to analyze data and practices collected during the piloting process. The piloting process will last until the end of the 2023-2024 academic year. Significantly, the trained representatives of the schools involved in the training will share the acquired knowledge with other schools.
