Orientation Meeting on CIF Call for Proposals for HEls
The first call for proposals for a Competitive Innovation Fund (CIF) is announced. The CIF created under the Innovation, Inclusion and Quality Project (supported by the World Bank), aims to foster the modernization of higher education programs and learning environment and strengthen the labor market linkages.
Priorities for the first call are the following: Elaboration/development of academic programs in cooperation with a foreign higher education institution recognized following the legislation of a foreign country; Development of educational programs tailored to the labor market needs; Development of practice-oriented educational programs; Supporting cooperation with industry/private sector; Initiating projects/programs developing/enhancing entrepreneurship education.
On November 30, 2022, CIF representatives held an orientation meeting with LELP HEIs. They presented detailed information on the CIF’s general aspects. CIF administrative unit members spoke in detail about the main features of the grant, application evaluation criteria, application, budget forms, and feathers of working with the portal.
HEIs representatives got acquainted with funding stages, its objectives, applicant eligibility criteria, consortia encouraging cooperation in joint projects and responsibilities, etc., and got answers to their questions.
Additional questions about the call for proposals may be sent by email no later than January 31, 2023, at cif@iiq.gov.ge.
Applicants must submit project proposals on the web portal – www.grants.gov.ge, till February 20 (23:59), 2023.
The second stage for funding will be open in 2023.
