UCL Consultants to Promote HE Internationalization

Within the scope of the I2Q Project, activities to improve the quality and international competitiveness of higher education are ongoing. One of the activities considers promoting HE internationalization. Within the I2Q Project and the World Bank support, the company UCL Consultants was selected as a consultant through the international tender. The company will work on promoting the internalization of HE.

On April 3 and 4, 2023, orientation meetings were held with UCL Consultants experts. Tamar Sanikidze – I2Q Project executive director, Nino Begiashvili – HE component lead, and Maia Shukhoshvili – HE Division Head of MES, discussed the scope of work and range of activities under the contract.

UCL Consultants will perform three tasks: 1. Develop the joint doctoral program in education and science management; 2. Develop six disciplinary English language and one entrepreneurship module to be taught at the Bachelor level of education, and 3. Create International Excellence Schools. The International Excellence Schools will encompass three stages during the I2Q Project lifetime and enhance academic cooperation on the national and international levels.
The assignments performed under the contract will comply with the National Strategy of Education and Science. They will be focused on the partnership goals with international research centers and universities, strengthening the skills and competencies, learning and research potentials, promoting the linkages with the labor market, raising the level of English language learning, and increasing the competitiveness of the students and young researchers.
