Education Data Integration Items Discussed at the Meeting
The World Bank Regular Implementation Support Mission for I2Q Project continues. On September 10, the World Bank representatives held an online meeting with Maka Makhatadze, the I2Q Project ICT/Data Integration manager.
Maka Makhatadze held a presentation about ongoing and planned activities within the scope of the System Strengthening component. She said that diagnostic assessment of EMIS, Data Integration and Analytic Systems is already underway.
Data collected within the assessment will be used to improve data collection, data and system management and data use in decision-making. The assignment is implemented by the joint venture of international companies -EdTech Ventures Ltd (Ireland), H2 Learning (Ireland) and Conscience IT (India). The companies were selected through an international tender. the joint venture company is staffed with highly qualified experts. The assessment implementation period will last till April 30, 2022.
International experts will propose recommendations and several options for capacity building of the EMIS, to strengthen and reorient the EMIS as a set of operational processes increasingly supported by digital technologies. Renewed EMIS will allow the collection, aggregation, analysis, and use of data and information at all levels from early childhood to higher education.
